About the Role

This is one of those roles where what you do really counts. As a Public Health Assistant – Early Years (0 to 5 years), you’ll meet families face to face in their homes, clinics, and group sessions, helping little ones get the healthiest start possible. You’ll use trusted tools like the Ages and Stages Questionnaires to check development milestones at 9–12 months and 2–2½ years.

You’ll also support parents through challenges, deliver advice-packed group sessions, and help connect families to local resources—whether that’s a breastfeeding group or a community play scheme.

You won’t be alone. You’ll be part of a warm and welcoming Health Visiting team that backs you every step of the way. They’ll train you, guide you, and cheer you on as you make real change in real lives.
