Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quality Engineer, ideally within aerospace.
• Familiarity with CAA regulations Part21G and Part21J.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and process auditing; AS9100 Lead Audit certification is a plus.
• Experience using APQP tools and techniques, familiarity with AS9145 preferred.
• Skilled in continuous improvement tools such as Pareto, PFMEA, 5S, or Six Sigma.
• Strong grasp of statistical analysis, process capability, and problem-solving techniques including 8D and 5 Why.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across teams and stakeholders.
• Positive attitude, adaptable mindset, and ability to work at pace.
• Full UK driving licence.

Key Responsibilities

• Support business process development to align with AS9100 and other regulatory standards, ensuring compliance and reliability.
• Act as the quality focal within development projects, influencing outcomes from the start.
• Drive APQP activities that guarantee product quality throughout design and production.
• Lead FAIR and PPAP completion, ensuring all customer and supplier quality requirements are met.
• Audit business management systems to identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate on investigations to find root causes and implement corrective actions that prevent recurrence.
• Engage in change management and design-for-manufacture initiatives to optimise performance.
• Support quality objectives that move the business toward continuous improvement and operational excellence.
