Job Description
Huntington Learning Center of Blaine is seeking talented professionals to help students in grades 6-12 achieve self-confidence, motivation, and academic success. This remote role involves one-on-one virtual tutoring, focusing on classroom skill development, homework help, subject tutoring, and standardized test prep (ACT/SAT). The tutor will use Zoom and the company’s proprietary learning platform. Paid training is provided to learn Huntington’s methods, and the tutor will have no homework to correct, lessons to plan, or meetings with parents or administration—just teaching.
Skills and Qualifications
- Graduation from a 4-year accredited college/university (required)
- Masters/PhD, and/or certification/license (a plus)
- Ability to teach age-appropriate math through Algebra I & II and/or Geometry
- Comfortable teaching English/Reading/Writing and coaching other subjects
- Proficiency in virtual teaching platforms (e.g., Zoom)
- A caring and qualified professional committed to student success
Duration and Location
- Remote position available to teachers across the US
- Part-time hours, weekdays from 3-8 pm CST
- Weekend availability is a plus
- Minimum commitment of 6 hours; 10+ hours available
Compensation
- From $15 an hour
