Requirements

  • MSc or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Strong track record in image processing, AI, and machine learning
  • Skills in Python, segmentation, object detection, GANs, transformers
  • Clinical data experience or interest in EHR, imaging, and pathology
  • Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving mindset
  • Comfortable working in cross-functional teams with senior stakeholders
  • Open to learning new tools and working flexibly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

Salary Details

This role offers a competitive NHS salary between £54,320 and £60,981 per year, depending on experience.

Looking to combine your passion for data with meaningful health outcomes? This Research Data Analyst role might just be your calling. You’ll be building tools and models that directly shape cancer detection, diagnosis, and treatment across North East London and beyond. The work is powered by a wealth of health data from Barts Health NHS Trust, including diagnostic imaging and pathology archives, and it’s done in close partnership with Queen Mary University of London and local stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead design and development of AI models using complex health datasets
