Requirements:

  • GCSE or equivalent education (preferred)
  • Experience in Residential Childcare and Learning Disabilities (1 year preferred)
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care – Children and Young People (preferred)
  • Candidates must be over 21 years old
  • Physical intervention training
  • Willingness to relocate if required
  • Tier 2 Sponsorship available for eligible UK-based candidates

Salary Details:

£11.90 per hour, with 40 hours per week on an 8-hour shift, including weekend availability.


About the Role

The Residential Care Worker will support children and young people in VAL’s residential home, providing a safe and nurturing environment. The role involves safeguarding, supporting educational and social development, and ensuring the emotional and physical needs of the young people are met. Duties include contributing to care plans, assisting with risk assessments, and building relationships with young people and external agencies.
