Requirements
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent training and experience.
- Proven background in administration and management within a healthcare or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of administrative systems and computerised software.
- Experience in staff management, including setting objectives, conducting appraisals, and developing people.
- Excellent ability to handle sensitive information and complex communication with tact.
- Understanding of customer service excellence in a healthcare setting.

Salary Details
This Band 5 position offers a salary range of £37,259 to £45,356 per year, inclusive of allowances, with access to comprehensive NHS benefits and pension.
About the Role
As a Safety and Effectiveness Support Manager, you’ll support the Office of the Medical Director in coordinating essential processes that underpin patient safety and clinical effectiveness. From managing incident reports to supporting clinical audit and guideline reviews, you’ll be the steady hand ensuring quality standards are met and processes run smoothly.
Your work will strengthen safety systems, support learning across divisions, and contribute to measurable improvements in care outcomes. It’s a role that combines organisation, communication, and analytical thinking, all while making a real difference to patient safety and quality governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage clinical effectiveness administration to keep processes smooth and aligned with governance standards.
- Oversee incident management systems to ensure prompt and accurate reporting.
- Support the review and maintenance of clinical guidelines, safeguarding up-to-date best practices.
- Analyse data and prepare reports to inform decisions and highlight improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate meetings and events that drive learning and quality improvement across the Trust.
- Collaborate with divisions to align priorities and maintain consistent quality frameworks.
- Resolve issues professionally and provide a trusted point of contact for safety and effectiveness matters.
