Requirements

  • Degree in IT or related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Microsoft, AWS, or Azure certifications or equivalent technical knowledge
  • Experience managing enterprise-scale IT infrastructure with a focus on cloud environments
  • Proficient in automation and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating across clinical and IT teams
  • Proactive problem solver with attention to detail and a learning mindset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

About the Role

As a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer, you’ll design, build, and maintain secure and scalable cloud solutions that support the NHS’s most critical systems. Working across platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, you’ll ensure the infrastructure is optimised for performance, compliance, and resilience.

You’ll automate processes, integrate new tools, and streamline how healthcare data moves safely between departments. Your technical insight will help protect patient information, reduce downtime, and enable clinicians to access what they need when it matters most.
