Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) – Plus a desire for ongoing learning
  • 3+ years of mental health support experience – Strong background in complex care

Salary Details

Annual salary ranges from £26,530 to £29,114, pro-rata for 30 hours weekly, with weekend hours compensated during the week.

About the Role

Working with Brighton CRT, you’ll support people living with psychosis, often with a history of strained relationships with services. Many will be facing challenges like substance use, past trauma, or housing instability. This isn’t your average care job – it’s relational, long-term, and grounded in hope. You’ll work closely with Lead Practitioners to provide daily support, help with medications, and guide clients toward meaningful rehabilitation goals. There’s also space to lead or support group activities that promote skill-building and connection.

This role calls for someone who can stay the course with those society often overlooks. Your presence, consistency, and creative thinking could be the turning point in someone’s recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support complex mental health needs – Work with clients facing deep-rooted challenges
  • Strengthen independence – Help clients rebuild daily routines, life skills, and confidence
  • Assist with medication and health routines – Including potential training in venepuncture
  • Co-facilitate community groups – Foster connection, engagement, and recovery
  • Maintain continuity – Offer consistent, trusting support over the long term
  • Handle crisis or duty tasks – Offer calm, skilled responses when things feel tough
