Job Overview

Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Data Analyst & Service Improvement Data Manager to join the Nursing Directorate. The role involves leading and delivering various projects, collaborating with information services, and supporting service planning and improvement. A key responsibility includes rolling out team accreditation across the Health Board and developing dynamic dashboards based on audit data.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver projects in collaboration with information services to drive service improvement
• Provide analytical resources to support operational teams in service planning and improvement
• Oversee and support the progress of agreed projects, reports, and programs
• Develop and manage dynamic dashboards using audit data to support performance monitoring
• Utilize creative data manipulation of routine data sources to identify problems and provide situational analysis
• Coordinate operational data analysis and production of resources for corporate and operational teams
• Drive data-driven decision-making to enhance service delivery and efficiency

Requirements

Qualifications

Essential:

• Master’s Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field
• Technical training or demonstrable experience in data analysis
• Professional, technical, or academic qualifications relevant to the role

Experience

Essential:

• Extensive experience working with health systems
  Desirable:
• Experience within the NHS
• Project management experience in a healthcare environment

Skills & Attributes

Essential:

• Effective leadership skills
• Strong presentation and communication skills
  Desirable:
• Welsh language proficiency (preferred but not required)
