Requirements

  • Recognised Occupational Therapy qualification and active professional registration
  • IELTS level 7 (or SLT 8) for international applicants
  • At least 12 months’ experience post-qualification in an OT role
  • Passion for working with older adults and mental health care
  • Comfortable using electronic patient record systems and digital tools
  • A confident communicator who can prioritise and manage a complex caseload
  • Committed to reflective practice, CPD, and team supervision
  • Able to travel independently to fulfil service needs

The salary for this Band 6 Senior Occupational Therapist role ranges from £37,338 to £44,962 per year, depending on experience.

About the Role

Here’s where your next move starts to matter. Based on Westerdale South, this role focuses on supporting older adults with either organic or functional mental health presentations that impact their day-to-day living. As one of two OTs on the unit, you’ll lead with clinical independence while still collaborating with the wider MDT. You’ll complete triage, plan interventions, set achievable goals with patients, and help them find meaning and function in daily routines. Sound like your kind of impact?
