Requirements
- Diploma in Information Technology or Data Analysis, or equivalent experience
- Degree level education or equivalent experience
- Advanced database interrogation skills
- In-depth knowledge of research workflows, especially Research Management and Governance
- Experience working with relational databases
- Data management and reporting experience
- Ability to convert data into meaningful management information
- Strong analytical mindset for using information to drive improvements
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Understanding of confidentiality and data security requirements

You’ll become the data expert for the research directorate, working with cutting-edge systems to collect, manage, and analyze crucial healthcare research data. Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of data collection, reporting, and analytics support for the research directorate
- Work with specialized systems like EDGE, Study Line, and NIHR Open Data Platform to collect and analyze high-volume research data
- Liaise with Trust Information Managers to identify and extract data from local information systems
- Create models and visualizations using Microsoft Power BI to communicate insights effectively
- Perform advanced data analysis using MS Excel to uncover patterns and opportunities
- Generate reports for audit and research purposes, working closely with clinical teams
- Maintain all aspects of the Management Information System independently
- Support compliance with national directives and financial sustainability
- Develop technical skills of others through knowledge sharing and training
- Ensure data handling meets confidentiality requirements and data protection regulations
