Requirements

  • Degree‑level education or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong command of MS SQL Server (2005 to present), including T‑SQL, functions, and stored procedures
  • Working experience in Portal Services, HL7/XML integration, .NET workflow, SAML 2.0
  • Hands‑on skills in Service-Oriented Architecture and Public APIs
  • A knack for managing multiple complex projects at once
  • Comfortable supporting and leading development end‑to‑end using structured methodologies
  • Bonus if they’ve got PRINCE2 or similar certification
  • Bonus points for being an advanced user of spreadsheets and databases

About the Role

This post sits at the heart of their IT Solutions Development team, which runs a 24/7 operation. The core mission? Build and maintain custom digital systems, including the Community Digital Portal and clinical integration tools.

From designing user‑friendly clinical portals to refining system integrations and overseeing bespoke applications, the role spans the full software development lifecycle. You’ll lead from the front, but still stay hands-on. They’ll look to this person for specialist expertise, especially when juggling fast‑moving tech changes and strict healthcare compliance standards.

Whether it’s working on .NET‑based solutions, streamlining workflows through smart APIs, or advising the wider trust on best development practices, they’ll rely on your deep knowledge and can‑do mindset to keep systems smart, secure, and sustainable.
