Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent diploma-level theoretical knowledge
  • Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours
  • Understanding of clinical risk, care procedures, and positive behaviour support
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (reasonable adjustments considered)
  • Comfortable working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary setting
  • Keen interest in forensic and behavioural healthcare pathways

Salary Details

This role offers a competitive salary band of £26,530 to £29,114, with room for progression depending on experience and impact.

About the Role

As part of their Enhanced Forensic Positive Behaviour Support Team, the post holder will take on real responsibilities. Not just paperwork – real, on-the-ground support for adults with forensic histories. They’ll help design and deliver Positive Behaviour Support Plans that prevent crisis placements and support independence in the community. You’ll collaborate closely with families, carers, and professional partners, helping people stay out of hospital and thrive at home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of Positive Behaviour Support Plans
  • Conduct highly specialised risk assessments and interventions
  • Assist in managing forensic and behavioural caseloads
  • Work with service users, families, and care providers to stabilise community placements
  • Collaborate across disciplines to ensure continuity of care
  • Reduce the need for inpatient admission through early intervention
