Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Test Analyst to play a critical role in its Digital Transformation Team. Key Responsibilities: Driving Excellence in Software Testing

The Senior Test Analyst will play a vital role in ensuring that digital solutions are rigorously tested and meet operational requirements. The responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining project test strategies aligned with organisational specifications and operational needs.
  • Providing expert advice on software testing across various digital platforms to ensure robust application performance.
  • Ensuring compliance with testing standards set out by the Cwm Taf Morgannwg Test Framework.
  • Planning and executing software testing cycles in line with project milestones and NHS digital transformation objectives.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to align testing processes with clinical and administrative IT requirements.
  • Identifying, tracking, and resolving defects using structured defect management methodologies.
  • Supporting automation and load testing initiatives to improve system performance and reliability.

Specialist Knowledge and Technical Expertise

The role requires a deep understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and tools. The Senior Test Analyst must be proficient in:

  • Software Testing Methodologies: Strong knowledge of testing frameworks, including manual and automated testing approaches.
  • Test Automation & Load Testing: Experience in using tools for automation and performance testing to optimize healthcare IT systems.
  • SQL and Data Analysis: Ability to query databases and support defect investigations through structured testing.
  • Defect Management & Issue Resolution: Expertise in tracking, reporting, and resolving software issues in complex environments.
  • Healthcare IT Systems: Understanding of NHS clinical and administrative digital platforms is highly desirable.
