Salary Details
Band 6 pay between 38682 and 46580 per year based on experience
About the Role
This role centers on steady hands, empathy and patient trust. The nurse supports a busy six day service at Haymarket Health and helps run nurse led sessions where people often arrive anxious or unsure. Clear guidance can shift a patient from worry to relief, which is why the service values confident communication and grounded clinical judgement.
The work includes assessments, contraception support, STI testing, treatment under PGD or as an independent prescriber and implant fitting if competent or working toward it. The nurse helps set up and close the clinic, maintains infection control and manages a no talk testing clinic where calm presence matters just as much as accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs so each person receives safe and tailored support
- Provide contraception care to give patients informed choices
- Carry out STI testing and treatment to support timely recovery
- Run nurse led clinics to maintain smooth and consistent service
- Support implant fitting and removal to widen patient options
- Maintain infection control to protect everyone in the clinic
- Work within guidance and protocols to ensure best patient outcomes
