About the Role
This is one of those UK job opportunities where you can genuinely shape what the future looks like. As a Sleep Assistant Practitioner, you won’t just follow processes—you’ll help create them. This role is part clinical, part technical, and all about impactful work.
You’ll support a new community-based sleep service by conducting patient assessments, guiding diagnostic processes, preparing equipment, and ensuring every patient has a smooth, clear, and caring experience. You’ll also pitch in with admin tasks that keep the service running like clockwork.
If you’ve got a knack for tech, a calm and friendly voice, and a desire to grow into a meaningful NHS role, you’ll feel right at home here.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out patient consultations, take physical measurements, and guide through questionnaires to personalise diagnostics
- Explain diagnostic equipment clearly and ensure patients understand how to use them at home
- Prepare, program, clean, and assess sleep study equipment to keep diagnostics accurate and timely
- Support respiratory care by assisting with treatment setup and ongoing patient monitoring
- Handle admin tasks like appointment scheduling, test organisation, and patient communications
- Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to deliver consistent, responsive care
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This role is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and will require a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
Certificate of Sponsorship
Applications from job seekers who require current Skilled worker sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. For further information visit the UK Visas and Immigration website.
