Requirements
- Medical Qualification – MB BS or equivalent
- Full GMC Registration with a licence to practise
- S12 Approval or ability to achieve within 3 months
- Minimum 12 Years’ Experience as a doctor, including 6 years in psychiatry
- Strong Clinical Skills using a bio-psycho-social approach
- Commitment to CPD with the Royal College of Psychiatrists
- Leadership and Collaboration skills with a patient-centred outlook

About the Role
As a Specialist Grade Liaison Psychiatrist, you’ll provide clinical leadership and direction to the Mental Health Liaison Team at Royal Bolton Hospital. This is more than a post — it’s an opportunity to shape the way liaison psychiatry supports adults across wards and A&E.
Your day will mix hands-on clinical work with service development. You’ll guide a team of experienced professionals, provide second-line specialist assessments, and ensure consistent, compassionate care. You’ll also contribute to audits, research, and teaching that raise standards across the Trust.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead Psychiatric Services across Royal Bolton Hospital to enhance patient outcomes

- Drive Service Development through evidence-based practices and innovation
- Collaborate with Governance and Research Teams to improve quality and outcomes
