Requirements

  • Recognised occupational therapy qualification and HCPC registration
  • At least 12 months of post-qualifying experience in occupational therapy
  • Strong communication and observation skills to inform and deliver care
  • Ability to manage a caseload with minimal supervision
  • Experience in mental health or learning disabilities is a strong advantage
  • Motivation to support others and lead by example
  • Confident using digital tools in clinical practice
  • IELTS level 7 (if applying internationally)

The salary ranges from 37,338 to 44,962, based on experience and pay band.

About the Role

This is a chance to be part of something deeply meaningful. As a Specialist Occupational Therapist, you’ll work within the eating disorders community team, supporting people across Durham, Darlington and Teesside. You’ll manage a complex caseload, help shape recovery plans, and provide hands-on interventions that rebuild confidence and daily function.

The role also involves supporting a Band 5 OT and contributing to wider team learning. Whether it’s leading a therapeutic session or coordinating with carers, your input helps someone regain control over their life. Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out clinical assessments and deliver individualised care plans
