About the Role
This is more than a clinical post. It’s an opportunity to be part of the Talking Together project in Orthodox Jewish primary schools, working side-by-side with dedicated SaLT colleagues from Children Ahead and the Homerton team. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping long-term service models, raising awareness of speech, language and communication needs, and delivering therapy that’s practical, holistic and relevant.
Your week will be varied – from targeted EYFS interventions to universal work with primary-age children, and even contributing to mainstream school support. The service employs over 100 staff, so opportunities to diversify and develop are always on the table.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver therapy sessions that enable children to communicate with confidence
- Work collaboratively with education staff to embed communication support into daily routines
- Support and mentor SaLT students to strengthen the profession’s future
- Contribute to service development projects that keep the work fresh and effective
- Share expertise with parents and professionals so they can better support children’s needs
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975. A Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required before appointment.
