Requirements
- A qualification in mental health or social care (nursing, AHP, social work) or postgrad training as a Clinical Associate in Psychology
- Registration with a UK professional body where applicable
- Proven experience in conducting mental health and risk assessments
- Direct experience working with personality disorder, self-harm and emotional dysregulation
- Ability to build therapeutic alliances and offer psychological formulations
- Strong communication and collaborative skills, both one-to-one and in group settings
- A knack for managing caseloads and adapting in multidisciplinary environments
- Evidence of continued professional development

This is a Band 6 NHS Agenda for Change role. Final salary depends on experience and qualifications, with access to full NHS benefits.
About the Role
This role is your chance to make a real impact with people navigating Complex Emotional Needs (CEN). You’ll be part of a passionate team rolling out Structured Clinical Management (SCM) across Camden’s core mental health services.
Whether you’re already experienced in SCM or looking to build that skillset, they’ll equip you with the tools you need. You’ll run individual and group interventions, build therapeutic alliances, and work with service users through some of their most challenging moments.
Expect to collaborate daily with psychologists, nurses and other practitioners. Your voice will matter in MDTs, and your insight will shape real, lasting outcomes for your clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver SCM interventions in both 1-1 and group formats
- Assess, formulate, and plan care using SCM approaches tailored to each individual
- Support individuals managing risk, trauma, and emotional regulation
- Maintain effective communication with other teams and external agencies
- Act as a named worker and manage a complex caseload independently
- Engage in regular clinical and SCM supervision to maintain safe practice
- Signpost and refer service users to local and voluntary services for holistic support
- Champion a trauma-informed and inclusive therapeutic culture across the borough
