Salary Details
The role is a Band 4 NHS post, with a salary range of £27,485 to £30,162 per year, plus standard NHS benefits.
About the Role
This is more than a support job, it’s about building trust and walking alongside people as they face life’s hardest moments. As a Support Time and Recovery (STR) Worker, you’ll work closely with lead practitioners, helping to manage a small but complex caseload.
Your work will range from supporting people in crisis to helping them manage medication, running small groups, and offering steady social and practical support. Every task connects to a bigger purpose: improving someone’s quality of life and giving them tools to move forward.
You’ll join a strong, well-staffed team including nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, and psychologists, each bringing their own strengths to the table. Together, you’ll make sure service users don’t just get care, but care that counts.
Key Responsibilities
- Support lead practitioners with caseloads to ensure consistent care
- Help patients in crisis and provide calm, practical guidance
- Assist with medication-related needs to promote safe routines
- Run group sessions that encourage connection and recovery
- Build long-term relationships with service users to support lasting stability
- Provide practical daily living support that makes independence achievable
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This role requires a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
Certificate of Sponsorship
Applications from job seekers who require current Skilled Worker sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. For further information visit the UK Visas and Immigration website.
From 6 April 2017, Skilled Worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, have had to present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided in for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) are also subject to this requirement.
