Requirements
- Some previous NHS experience
- Good verbal communication skills
- Good level of numeracy and literacy
- Willingness to undertake further training (IR(ME)R and MRI Safety talk)
- NVQ Level 2 Health Care qualification or equivalent experience OR willingness to undertake Care Certificate course

About the Role
The Radiology department at Norfolk and Norwich University NHS Hospital is on the lookout for passionate Band 2 Radiology Imaging Support Workers to join their friendly team. The successful candidates will have the exciting opportunity to work in the cutting-edge Community Diagnostic Centre, a state-of-the-art facility providing imaging services for outpatients requiring CT, MRI, X-Ray, and Ultrasound appointments.

The position involves working Monday to Sunday, with shift times between 7:30 am and 8:00 pm. It’s a chance to be part of a dynamic team, contributing to the vital work of the Radiology department.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Radiology personnel in creating a safe, high-quality environment for diagnostic imaging
- Assist in preparing the unit/work area
- Help maintain and order stock levels in the department
- Support the recovery team in area preparation
- Ensure a safe departmental environment that minimizes infection risk
- Assist with administrative tasks
- Clean and maintain tidiness in all areas
- Help clean all radiology equipment
- Maintain equipment at the department level, reporting issues and keeping accurate records
- Manage linen allocation and disposal
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team for patient benefit
- Support and observe patients during recovery under supervision
