Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in health or social care settings is a plus
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (desirable)
  • Able to engage and motivate adults with additional needs
  • Organised, empathetic, and team-focused
  • Comfortable with manual handling and personal care support
  • Competent using basic IT tools and completing documentation
  • Passionate about promoting choice, dignity, and independence

Salary Details

This is a Band 2 post offering £24,465 per year, based on a Monday to Friday schedule with 5-hour shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support adults to achieve personal goals in a warm and safe environment
  • Assist with personal care and manual handling using approved aids
  • Help run group activities that build social, vocational, or creative skills
  • Keep accurate records and follow care plans under team lead supervision
  • Promote independence while respecting each person’s dignity and choices
  • Spot and report equipment issues or missing resources
  • Attend training and reflect on personal growth through supervision
