Requirements

  • A natural mentor who enjoys coaching others
  • Calm, confident and upbeat during emotional challenges
  • Willing to support those with challenging behaviour
  • Comfortable with hands-on support and daily routines
  • A UK driving licence is preferred, but flexibility is offered
  • A positive and active mindset with a real interest in learning disabilities and autism support

Salary Details

Youโ€™ll earn between ยฃ12.60 and ยฃ12.90 per hour, depending on experience. Multiple contract types available: 12, 24, 39 or 42 hours.

About the Role

This is a job where no two days are the same. As a Support Worker, youโ€™ll help young adults gain independence and build fulfilling lives. Youโ€™ll support people in everyday routines, from getting dressed to making meals, while also joining them in activities like hiking, bowling, and arts and crafts. One moment youโ€™ll be calming someone during an emotional challenge, the next youโ€™ll be cheering them on at the trampoline park. The role is hands-on, emotionally rich, and full of small wins that matter. If youโ€™re ready for something real, this could be it.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 24-hour care in a supported living environment
  • Encourage independence in everyday routines and personal goals
  • Join in on activities like cinema trips, art, and outdoor walks
  • Offer emotional support during tough times, promoting wellbeing
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistent support
  • Champion meaningful involvement from the people you support
