Job Summary

Salary Details

The salary for this role ranges from £11.44 to £11.62 per hour, depending on successful completion of the probationary period.

About the Role

As a Support Worker, your role will be to provide high-quality care that is both compassionate and person-centred. You will help clients live independently while respecting their dignity and choices. You’ll assist with personal care, social and leisure activities, and household tasks. Each day will be different, and you’ll work closely with a talented manager to ensure that each client receives tailored support that helps them meet their aspirations.

Key aspects of the role include assisting with personal care, moving and handling, and facilitating social and leisure activities both within the home and out in the community. You will also play a crucial role in maintaining accurate daily records and helping clients live fulfilling, independent lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare person-centred support plans, respecting clients’ beliefs and opinions
  • Support clients in living independently, promoting choice and autonomy
  • Assist with personal care, including washing, toileting, and moving/handling
  • Support clients in social activities and outings
  • Maintain accurate records with the full involvement of the client
  • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and Health & Safety procedures
  • Engage with quality inspection processes
  • Collaborate with the management team to deliver high-quality care

Requirements

  • Caring, confident, and well-organised individual with the ability to adapt quickly
  • Experience in a care environment is desirable but not essential
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to provide personal care while respecting the client’s dignity
  • Excellent teamwork skills
