Requirements
- Registered Paediatric Nurse (RSCN or Child Branch Qualification or equivalent)
- ENB 998 or C&G 730 teaching qualification (or equivalent)
- Strong background in paediatric complex care (gastrostomies, tracheostomies, epilepsy)
- Experience in delivering education and training within health or community settings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate approach and ability to adapt to service needs
Desirable: Nursing degree, community-based experience, IT proficiency, and understanding of budget management.
Salary Details
This position is offered at NHS AfC Band 6, £38,682 – £46,580 per year (pro rata).
About the Role
As a Teach Team Clinical Educator, you’ll shape the education of multi-agency staff caring for children with complex health needs. Working alongside a training coordinator and multidisciplinary teams, you’ll co-ordinate annual training programmes, deliver bespoke sessions, and promote consistent care across Derbyshire. Your role directly supports the health, education, and wellbeing of children who rely on specialised care.
This is more than an educator role—it’s about empowering others to give safe, high-quality care while keeping families supported and informed.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver a structured annual training programme for education staff
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across Derbyshire to ensure standardised training delivery
- Provide tailored training sessions to multi-agency teams supporting children with complex needs
- Advocate for the wellbeing and protection of children and their families
- Maintain high standards of professional practice in line with Trust policies
