Requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths A–C or equivalent
  • Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care or higher apprenticeship equivalent
  • Care Certificate or willingness to work towards it
  • Significant experience delivering care in a healthcare setting
  • Confidence in assessing patients within scope of practice
  • Ability to work autonomously while being part of a team
  • Strong written, verbal and IT skills to communicate clearly
  • Driving licence with access to a vehicle for community visits

Salary Details

Annual pay between £27,485 and £30,162, dependent on experience, with NHS benefits and pension contributions.

About the Role

As a Therapy Assistant, you’ll be part of the North Community Recovery Therapy Team supporting patients across Warwickshire. This role is all about making practical care personal. You’ll assess non complex needs, provide evidence based interventions, and work side by side with registered professionals to ensure patients feel supported every step of the way. From helping people manage long term conditions to coordinating care in the community, every task you take on will help patients regain independence and confidence. Expect variety, responsibility, and the chance to see the real impact of your work in people’s daily lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out non complex assessments to guide patient care plans
  • Implement and evaluate treatment under the guidance of senior staff
  • Provide hands on support that promotes patient recovery and independence
  • Supervise and support junior staff to strengthen the team’s impact
  • Maintain accurate patient records to ensure continuity of care
  • Travel within the community to reach patients where they need support most
