Requirements
- GCSE English and Maths or equivalent qualifications
- Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care or higher apprenticeship
- Care Certificate or willingness to work towards it
- Proven experience in delivering patient care in healthcare settings
- Evidence of strong patient assessment skills
- Effective written, verbal and non-verbal communication abilities
- Competent IT and record-keeping skills
- Ability to organise, prioritise and work autonomously
- Driving licence and permanent access to a vehicle for travel
- Compassionate, empathetic and reliable team player

About the Role
As a Therapy Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of patient care, supporting people with long-term conditions across Coleshill, Tamworth, Nuneaton and surrounding areas. You’ll assess needs, implement treatments and monitor progress, always ensuring care is delivered with compassion and dignity.
This is a role where your efforts really matter. Whether you’re visiting patients in the community or coordinating support at the Hartshill base, your contribution will directly impact people’s recovery and wellbeing. Working under the guidance of registered professionals, you’ll also have opportunities to supervise junior staff, building both your skills and confidence along the way.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out noncomplex patient assessments to guide effective care
- Implement and evaluate treatment plans that improve quality of life
- Support recovery by delivering evidence-based interventions in the community
- Supervise and guide junior colleagues to build consistency in patient care
- Maintain accurate patient records to support continuity and safety
- Collaborate with the wider team to enhance services and patient outcomes
