Requirements

  • BSc (Hons) in Therapy Radiography or equivalent DCR (T)
  • Up-to-date knowledge of radiotherapy techniques
  • Confidence working with planning systems and verification tools
  • Strong communication skills to engage with patients from all backgrounds
  • High standards of personal integrity and accountability
  • Commitment to safety under IR(ME)R regulations
  • Ability to manage shift-based work including on-call when needed

Salary Details

Starts at 30,420 and can rise to 37,030 depending on experience. Pay progression follows NHS Agenda for Change.

About the Role

This isn’t just about pressing buttons. As a Therapy Radiographer, you’ll be the expert delivering highly specialised radiotherapy across diverse tumour sites. You’ll work with top-tier machines and digital systems, all while offering reassurance to patients navigating one of life’s toughest chapters. Each day will see you rotate across pre-treatment and treatment areas, handle complex imaging plans, and maintain pinpoint accuracy in every delivery. You’ll also play a part in refining care pathways and adapting plans mid-treatment when needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and verify daily radiotherapy with safety and precision
  • Support patient comfort by clearly explaining procedures and symptoms
  • Communicate complex clinical information with empathy
  • Adjust care pathways where needed and keep things running smoothly
  • Ensure planning data is entered accurately for audits and analysis
  • Rotate across CT/Sim and treatment areas as part of a dynamic team
  • Undertake daily QA checks on equipment and processes
  • Stay current with training, regulation updates, and clinical skills
