Requirements
- A 1st or 2:1 in Cardiac Physiology (PTP) or relevant science field like Biomedical Science or Biology
- Strong interest in echocardiography and the impact it has on patient care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfort working with patients in close-contact diagnostic procedures
- Willingness to complete Immediate Life Support certification
- Analytical thinking and attention to clinical detail
- Able to work independently and collaborate in teams
- Previous exposure to a healthcare or cardiology setting is a plus
Salary Details
The full-time salary range is £37,338 to £44,962 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a fixed-term role for 18 months.

Key Responsibilities
- Follow the structured NSHCS Echocardiography Training Programme
- Learn and perform transthoracic echocardiograms on patients
- Participate in clinical audits and equipment evaluations
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
- Support in training junior staff alongside mentors
- Ensure a high standard of care and safety in every procedure
- Engage in professional development activities and seminars
