About the Role
The Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) role represents a significant step in the government’s commitment to enhance mental health support for young people. Working within the Scarborough and Ryedale Team, practitioners will deliver evidence-based early interventions across educational and healthcare settings. The role combines academic learning at Sheffield University with hands-on experience in schools and colleges.

The position spans three key areas: developing whole-school mental health approaches, providing consultation to education staff, and delivering direct support to young people. The successful candidate will work within a dynamic team environment, contributing to the mental health and wellbeing of students through cognitive-behavioral therapy and other evidence-based approaches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver evidence-based mental health interventions for young people
