Requirements
- Degree in electronic engineering or similar – a solid technical foundation
- Full clean UK driving licence – essential due to the travel involved
- Hands-on servicing experience – working with medical or industrial equipment
- Comfortable using computers – from diagnostics to maintenance records
- Strong fault-finding skills – especially at component level
- Great communication skills – written and spoken, across teams and disciplines

Salary Details
The role pays 44,806 to 53,134 per year, depending on experience and progression through training. This reflects the Annex 21 scheme, where you’ll earn while developing into a fully qualified technologist.
About the Role
They’re offering a brilliant entry point into healthcare technology. As a trainee renal technologist, you’ll be working on the machines that keep dialysis patients alive. From water purification systems to complex medical devices, you’ll learn it all hands-on. It’s a role for someone who loves fixing things, solving problems, and wants their work to matter.
You’ll be based in London but get out and about across the South East, so no two days will feel the same. From day one, you’ll be part of a supportive team that values your growth. You’ll be trained to the highest standard, eligible to register with the Association of Renal Technologists when fully qualified.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain dialysis equipment – your work keeps patients safely treated
- Service water plants – clean, consistent water is vital for dialysis
- Troubleshoot and repair systems – finding and fixing faults fast
- Follow manufacturer protocols – ensuring safety and compliance
- Log service data accurately – your records support audits and safety
- Liaise with clinical staff – you’re part of the care delivery chain
