About the Role
As a Healthcare Support Worker at Kahlo Ward, you’ll be at the heart of patient care in their female acute mental health unit. This role offers a unique opportunity to support individuals during crucial moments in their recovery journey. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic environment where every day brings new opportunities to make a difference.
Key Responsibilities
- Support nursing staff with patient admissions and clinical observations
- Maintain ward safety and create a therapeutic environment
- Escort service users to appointments, providing reassurance and support
- Engage with service users to support their recovery journey
- Work collaboratively within the multi-disciplinary team
- Document and maintain accurate patient records
Requirements
- Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Health and Social Care
- Completion of Care Certificate
- Experience in healthcare settings or relevant lived experience
- Strong communication and empathy skills
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining compassion
- Understanding of confidentiality and diversity principles
Certificate of Sponsorship
