About the Role

As a Unified Desktop Windows 11 Engineer, you’ll play a hands-on role maintaining, upgrading, and supporting the Trust’s vast estate of end-user devices—from desktop PCs and laptops to iPads and Unified Communications handsets. Every device you configure or replace directly supports front-line staff and improves the digital reliability of patient care services.

You’ll collaborate closely with the End User Equipment Lead and Digital Services teams to ensure all technical operations run efficiently across the Trust’s three hospital sites. You’ll also contribute to documentation, process improvement, and ITIL-aligned service delivery, ensuring MSE’s digital infrastructure remains secure, efficient, and patient-focused.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and mobile devices across sites to keep clinicians connected and productive
  • Apply ITIL principles to manage service catalogues and SLAs, ensuring smooth IT service delivery
  • Use SCCM and SQL reporting tools for monitoring, tracking, and planning system upgrades
  • Conduct technical analysis and testing to ensure systems remain stable and secure
  • Produce clear support documentation and assist in designing new technical procedures
  • Work closely with teams to schedule upgrades at minimal disruption to hospital operations
