Job Overview:

The role of the Care Worker is to provide support and assistance to service users, enabling them to live safely and comfortably at home. Care Workers are responsible for communicating effectively with service users and their families, as well as healthcare professionals, and reporting any changes or concerns in the service user’s condition to their supervisor. VISA sponsorship is available for those that meet the job criteria.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Service User Support:

• Assist service users with daily activities such as getting up, dressing, and preparing for the day.
• Provide personal care, including washing, bathing, showering, oral care, and grooming.
• Assist with toileting and continence management.
• Help service users with mobility, using manual handling equipment as required.

2. Healthcare Coordination:

• Work with other healthcare professionals, such as District Nurses and GPs.
• Assist with prescribed medication.
• Report any changes or concerns in the service user’s condition to the supervisor.

3. Household Duties:

• Perform general household tasks such as bed making, laundry, and cleaning.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
• Manage shopping and supplies.

4. Documentation and Communication:

• Maintain accurate records of care visits and tasks performed.
• Properly document all tasks conducted.
• Visit the office to submit timesheets, logbooks, and other paperwork.
• Attend regular meetings, supervisions, and training sessions.

5. Essential Criteria:

1. Genuine care for others.
2. Good communication skills.
3. Ability to understand and follow instructions.
4. Ability to cope with emergency and difficult situations.

Key Competencies:

1. Attend all service user calls and understand their importance.
2. Communicate effectively with service users, families, and healthcare professionals.
3. Maintain high standards of care provision.
4. Handle emergency and difficult situations appropriately.

Additional Requirements:

• Full driver’s licence and willingness to travel 100%.
• Must reside in the UK and have work authorisation.
• Willingness to undergo a Criminal Records Bureau check.
