Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent knowledge
  • Experience in community-based work that improves health or social engagement
  • Proven ability to organise events and activities that draw people together
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working with diverse groups
  • Flexibility and resilience to adapt in a busy, dynamic environment

This Band 3 position offers a salary of £24,937 to £26,598 per year, dependent on experience.

About the Role

As a Wellbeing Engagement Worker, you’ll help bridge the gap between mental health services and the communities they serve. Working under the Senior Community Adviser, you’ll use creativity and empathy to design outreach events, deliver wellbeing activities, and support individuals to access help early. Each day brings new faces and new chances to make a difference — whether by connecting with voluntary groups, leading local initiatives, or encouraging people to take the first step toward better mental health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with local communities to raise awareness of mental health services and encourage participation
  • Plan and run outreach events that are creative, inclusive, and community-led
  • Collaborate with voluntary sector partners to strengthen support networks
  • Provide information and signposting to appropriate wellbeing or social care services
  • Support continuous improvement by feeding back insights from community engagement
  • Work under guidance from the Senior Community Adviser while managing your workload independently
