Requirements

• Strong PHP, JavaScript and jQuery skills with clean, readable code
• Experience with WordPress and Shopify custom themes and plugins
• Solid knowledge of SQL and familiarity with SQLite or PostgreSQL
• Proficiency in responsive design frameworks like Bootstrap
• Experience with Angular or other modern JS frameworks is a plus
• Understanding of APIs and how to integrate third-party services
• Git version control understanding is a bonus
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate remotely
• Portfolio required for application consideration

About the Role

You’ll work across multiple projects to build and maintain custom WordPress and Shopify websites that hit the mark every time. From sleek front-end design to complex back-end integrations, you’ll be owning full development cycles. You’ll collaborate with designers to ensure every layout works responsively and with clients to deliver what matters. Whether it’s a quick bug fix or a complete build from scratch, you’ll bring attention to detail and creative problem-solving to the table. Key Responsibilities

• Build and customise Shopify and WordPress websites based on client briefs
• Work with designers to deliver pixel-perfect responsive designs
• Write clean, well-documented code using PHP, JavaScript and TypeScript
• Integrate APIs and third-party tools that enhance user experience
• Debug and test websites throughout the development process
• Maintain code and documentation for team handoff or future updates
• Stay updated with trends and tools in web development
